Management

I AM a meticulous arts administrator who understands the importance of both process and product. I tend to every tree but do not forget about the forest – balance is important. I believe respect and open communication are paramount to a good working relationship. A new client can expect me to come to the table with existing tools and processes that I’ve used with success in previous projects, but I’m open to personalizing our process to what would best suit the project at hand.

Projects include ¡BIENVENIDOS BLANCOS! OR WELCOME WHITE PEOPLE!, presented by Team Sunshine Performance Corporation in April 2018 (Project Manager); ear-whispered: works by Tania El Khoury, presented by Bryn Mawr College in September 2018 (Project Manager); and Philadelphia Museum of Dance, presented by Westphal College of Media Arts & Design in September/October 2018 (Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Manager).

I have also served as the Communications and Development Manager at Enchantment Theatre Company and the Program Manager at The Philadelphia Dance Academy.

Marketing & Communications

A strong sense of design and effective messaging

Content Management
Writing compelling and clear copy for web and print is not my only strength. My proofreading eye is ruthless, and my sense of design is acute.

Strategy
I’m a planner and a doer. I create marketing strategies in service of project goals, work with graphic and web designers to facilitate the completion of deliverables, and generate and disseminate content on social media.
Brand Identity
Consistency in visuals, tone, and style is important for every brand. I consult on the creation of brand identity and ensure all project partners are consistent in their messaging.

Project Management

An eye for the forest and the trees

Strategic Thinking
Helping to produce a creative project means I’m tapping into years of experience in performance production to create strategies for project timelines, marketing, box office, project/event staffing, and more.

Budget Management
I pride myself on my fiscal responsibility. I have personally managed half a million dollars in project budgets.
Creative Problem Solving
When working with limited resources, as often happens in nonprofits, finding creative solutions is key. Like when you’re charged with securing visas for Cuban artists after the U.S. Embassy in Havana shutters its doors. (Ask me about this sometime.)

Copywriting

As the Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Manager of Philadelphia Museum of Dance, I wrote copy for the project website, print materials, social media channels, and radio and digital advertising.

Whet your appetite at FringeArts, where two performances of French choreographer Boris Charmatz’ “manger” implore audiences to examine the nature of eating, of digesting information, of consuming. To attend “manger” is to witness this challenge up close.Philadelphia Museum of Dance website

As the Communications and Development Manager for Enchantment Theatre Company, I developed audience engagement opportunities for each new North American tour; wrote copy for the website, email marketing campaigns, and social media; and wrote grants in support of our education program. I also frequently updated the website from a UX perspective, updating content to prioritize the user.
